Palm Jumeirah is a man made archipelago created off the coast of the Emirate of Dubai in the Persian Gulf. It is a palm tree shaped island with the stem providing road link to the main land and sixteen branches flanking out seawards.
A crescent shaped mass of islands encircles these branches. The islands are truly exotic and provide the options of buying a villa on them. Jumeirah Zabeel Saray is a five-star hotel on one of the islands that is the ultimate name in luxury and extravagance.
The Pearl, Qatar, UAE

This Pearl, Qatar is an artificial island spanning about four million square kilometer. It is located off coast Doha in the Arabian Gulf. The island has been name Pearl not because its shape resembles that of a Pearl. The island was named so because it was built on one of previous pearl diving sites in the region.
The island is the first piece of land in Qatar that is available for buying and free ownership of foreign nationals meaning thereby that any one from any part of the world can freely buy and sell the properties on it. Though partly opened, the island will provide dwelling to about 50,000 residents.
Khazar Island, Azerbaijan

Khazar islands, also known as Caspian Sea islands are group of 41 islands to develop on Caspian Sea in Azerbaijan. The project still slated for completion by 2025-26, will add an additional 25 km of shoreline to this landlocked country. The project is to cost about $100 Billion, including the construction of hotels, residential complexes, malls, parks, cultural centers and a university. The still to be built $ 2 billion tower here on the island is projected to be the highest in the world.

This group of artificial islands is located in Persian Gulf off the coast Bahrain. The islands are the first piece of land available to the foreign nationals living in Bahrain for freehold land ownership. The islands have residential complexes, shopping areas, parks, hotels, a circular marina and lagoon side dining area. They also house a university and a theme park. The islands are connected to the mainland with a causeway about 2 km long.

The Venetian islands are a series of artificial islands located in Biscayne Bay along the Miami Beach in Miami city of Florida. These islands were got built in 1920. Residential complexes, recreation centers, schools, hospitals and other institutions completing the amenities of a city are available on the islands. Of the various islands here, Flagler Monument Island remains uninhabited and is a picnic spot for the residential.
