We all get so excited when friendships day, father’s day, and all such days near. The mood is instantly elevated and the lull of celebrations starts to fill the mind. There is nothing weird and wacky about it though, but some days that are celebrated surely are weird and wacky. I am sure most of you have not even heard of these or have the slightest of idea that they even exist leave aside the idea of celebrating them.
The Hugging Day
Every year January 21 is celebrated as the World Hugging Day. Well, each one us love those warm hugs and cozy cuddles. Sweet hugs from siblings, affectionate hugs from parents, loving hugs from friends, we all know how nice it all feels. But, did you ever think of celebrating these hugs?
The Pie Day
January 23, is registered as the Pie Day. Honestly, who doesn’t love pies, we all do and having a day to it though sounds weird but the idea is surely fun. Yummy, the taste rich savory taste of pies filled with gravy or sauce. Pies are available in a variety of shapes and sizes; I think that makes a reason to celebrate a day in its name.
The National Cleavage Day
This day is officially celebrated in South Africa either in March or in April. Now, who celebrates such a day? However, one can celebrate it each day, if you wish to. But, that’s a very personalized option though.
Bubble wrap appreciation day
The next best thing that you do after opening your parcel is pop those bubbles of the bubble wrap. This gives most of us an elated feeling, whether you are 10, 25, 60, when it comes to popping bubble wrap of a bubble wrap age is just no criterion. But, did you know that there is one full day celebrated as the bubble wrap appreciation day in the last few days of January.
The beer can appreciation day
Each year January 24, is celebrated as the beer can appreciation day. Most of us would however want to celebrate it each day though. Have you ever thought, how the world would seem, if the beer cans were never invented? Well, for me, I do not even want to think that in my wildest of dreams. So, let us cherish having beer cans in our lives and enjoy responsibly, wink –wink!
